Generative expand is most valuable when the source composition is right but the frame is too tight for the channel.
Teams often try to force one image into every ratio by cropping harder. That works until the product becomes cramped or key visual context disappears. Generative expand solves a different problem: it creates room without sacrificing the original focal point.
Expand makes the most sense after the master image is already clean. In VOGLA that usually means product shot or cleanup first, then expand into channel-specific crops.
